This post is a little late, but my red hot valentine set went up the day before Valentine's day. This is actually the same dress I wore for New Year's Eve at a local bar, and I felt like a million bucks! I bought this stool at Home Depot, so we know its max capacity is less than what I weigh. It did have the highest capacity of the options available, though, and I use it regularly, so it's certainly not flimsy. What do you think the capacity is? I've mentioned before how almost everything I sit on has a capacity lower than my weight... I just never know it. I wonder how close I am to breaking chairs on a daily basis. Haha.

Super Woman was thin, athletic, and strong in her day. But after eating all those Taco Bell and McDonalds meals on the run (super hero crime fighting is a non stop gig, ya know), she noticed herself ballooning. Eventually, gravity took hold and she couldn't fly anymore. Her kicks were more difficult now that her legs were the size of tree trunks, and her punches were slowed by her huge arms. I bought a new couch for the new house, since my old one was worn away in the spot where I sit. (In all honesty, I've already started breaking down the cushion in the new one where I always sit and I've only had it a little over a month! Damn it.) I am officially a home owner! And as such, I've had to take on some projects around the house. Here, I'm changing the (terrible) gold handles that were on the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and putting in more modern silver handles. I got a big giant bed so I had room to grow into it... And it seems to be working! I stayed in Vegas with a friend this weekend and I could SWEAR the bed was full sized. Elevators can be a problem for anyone... People with a fear of heights or people who have claustrophobia issues. Its a different world entirely for a fat girl. Even a fat girl without a single thought of her weight on an elevator might think otherwise if it stopped suddenly and she had to climb out between floors. And then there's that glimpse of horror on the faces of the passengers as we enter the almost-full elevator. I'm always sure to step gingerly in so as not to shake it too much, but it doesn't really help. So many considerations to be had! Just another way being fat affects everything I do. As any of you with real world experience of fatties know, seating can be quite an issue. It affects our lives at every turn... Can we go to that restaurant? Will that wedding have those wobbly folding chairs? One time, I was sitting on a metal folding chair at a BBQ/swim party for a while, and a few minutes later, the host sat in the same chair. It crumbled under him, and I couldn't help but think it HAD to be me that loosened it to that point! I figure almost everything I sit on has a weight capacity that is below my 400+ lbs. Every day is an adventure.
