Really depends on where you live  I am in Texas and I shoot New Models in all kinds of curvy, with my staff!  Helps to post in the right places, not on some one thread which most models dont like it! It is   called stepping on the thread or hijacking it , You should start a discussion of your own asking for help on finding people in your area who can help you get your start! Remember you wont get rich doing this, it is hard work Modeling, and you will need professional photos if you wish to get hire as a model!  good Luck!
